Our movers arrived at our apartment around 11:30 a.m., and because of the challenging layout, they didn’t finish until 9:00 p.m. The path from the truck to our apartment was long ,it required going through the garage, taking the elevators, and then up to our second-floor apartment.David, Dan, and Dareus were our moving crew, and from start to finish they maintained such a positive attitude and incredible work ethic. While I was unpacking and directing where boxes needed to go, they never... slowed down and kept working efficiently all day. I honestly wish they had been given more help because it was a big job, but they made it work without ever complaining. They even stayed until 10:00 p.m. to make sure everything was completed, including setting up our bunk bed and dining table as part of the move. Their dedication and professionalism did not go unnoticed.Thank you, David, Dan, and Dareus, for your hard work, positive attitude, and commitment to getting the job done right. You made what could have been a very stressful and exhausting moving day so much easier. We truly appreciate everything you did!read more

This was a military-related move. Manny, Dakota, Jeramiah, and Anthony were great. Dakota was patient, and explained a lot of what was happening, as my experience with overseas moves is non-existent. Manny and Anthony were professional and asked questions as needed, which I appreciated, because I’ve heard horror stories about military moves and trash bags being packed. So I was happy when Anthony asked me about specific items that he didn’t want to assume were for packing. Jeramiah helped with... my husband’s comic book inventory and made sure our long list of titles was printed and added to our inventory list. He was also very communicative when he was packing up our kitchen, which is probably everyone’s least favorite room. I know it’s my least favorite to pack. All in all, everyone was careful with our things, which I appreciated because it’s easy for someone to just handle items with no care especially if it’s not yours, but knowing how hard my husband and I have worked over the last 20+ years, and all the separations and deployments, a lot of these “things” and “stuff” are our memories of the good, bd, and ugly. So we cherish them. Thank you for taking care of our things. Hopefully the odds will be in our favor at our destination.Paul and Mia Carterread more

What Do Interior Design Logistics and Warehouse Receiving Services Cost in Olympia?

Interior design logistics pricing in Olympia varies based on the project size, the type of items being handled, and the level of service required. Designers can expect to pay for warehouse receiving, storage, inspection, delivery, and installation. Climate-controlled storage or white-glove delivery services typically add to the overall cost. Smaller jobs may involve only basic receiving and delivery, while larger design projects with high-value items will naturally require more extensive planning and incur higher fees.

According to Designer Oasis, “Your receiver should provide you with a menu of services. There are many models for charging. Typically, you’ll see a charge by the hour to handle product (inspect, store, deliver and install).”

A&E Relocation Services provides transparent and competitive pricing for interior design projects in Olympia. You won’t get any surprise costs. Our prices depend on the size of your project, whether you need us to receive and store just a few pieces of furniture or handle setting up an entire home.  We also offer premium handling for valuable or delicate items. “Different designers need different service levels based on their timeline and budget,” says Kira McIntyre, A&E’s Office Manager. “We price everything from basic receiving to full white-glove installation.” Select the services that best fit your project’s needs and budget.

Do All Olympia Moving Companies Handle Interior Design Jobs and Storage?

Not all moving companies in Olympia specialize in logistics for interior design. “In short, a receiver (or a receiving warehouse) is a warehouse and delivery company that receives items from freight trucks, inspects them upon arrival (to ensure there are no damages), and then stores them on your behalf,” states Dakota Design Co.

While many movers can handle regular home and business moves, interior design work needs special services such as:

  • careful handling
  • detailed tracking of items
  • secure storage

Designers often need a partner with experience handling multiple deliveries, keeping items in good condition, and meeting tight project deadlines.

A&E Relocation Services provides clear, upfront pricing for interior design projects in Olympia. Our rates are based on your project size, from receiving and storing a few furniture pieces to managing complete home installations. We offer premium handling for valuable or delicate items. “Designers need different service levels based on their timeline and budget,” says Kira McIntyre, A&E’s Office Manager. “We price everything from basic receiving to full white-glove installation.” Select the services that match your project requirements and budget.

What Complete Services Do Olympia Moving Companies Offer for Interior Design Projects?

Full-service providers in Olympia typically offer a wide range of options for interior design projects. These can include:

  • Shipment receiving
    • “A receiving warehouse acts as a central hub for managing deliveries. When furniture or decor arrives, the warehouse team inspects every item for damage,” states Luxury Travel Magazine.
  • Inspection
  • Warehouse storage
  • Delivery scheduling
  • White-glove installation

Many also assist with assembling furniture, placing decor, and removing packing materials, ensuring a smooth handoff between the designer and the homeowner. According to Luxury Travel Magazine, “This ensures that they keep every piece of furniture in perfect condition. Designers don’t have to worry about juggling deliveries or finding space for storage. The warehouse handles it all.”

A&E Relocation Services handles all your interior design logistics needs. Our Olympia warehouse receives, inspects, and stores your shipments until your project is ready. On delivery day, we place and set up your items as you wish, including furniture assembly and debris removal. This lets designers focus on creative work instead of heavy lifting.

“Design projects usually have multiple vendors delivering at different times,” says Kira McIntyre, A&E’s Office Manager. “Everything gets inspected, organized, and stored in our 98,000 sq ft warehouse until installation day.”

How Do Olympia Moving Companies Keep Fragile and Valuable Items Safe During Pickup, Storage, and Delivery?

Professional movers rely on proven techniques to safeguard fragile and valuable items throughout the entire process. This often includes using padded blankets, shrink wrap, and custom crating during pickup and transport. According to Wetzel Properties LLC, “They’ll often double-wrap particularly valuable pieces and add extra cushioning at critical stress points to prevent any damage from unexpected movement or vibration during transport.” In storage, items may be placed on racks or in climate-controlled environments to minimize risk from temperature changes, humidity, or accidental handling damage.

A&E Relocation Services follows strict rules to keep designer items safe from the moment we get them. Our 98,000 sq ft Olympia facility has proper storage systems, and our crews are trained to carefully pack, pad, and secure valuable pieces. We treat each item with care, whether it’s fine art, a glass tabletop, or luxury furniture.

“High-end furniture and artwork need different handling methods than regular household items,” says Kira McIntyre, A&E’s Office Manager. “Our team knows how to properly wrap different materials, from leather furniture to delicate wood finishes.”

What Steps Do Olympia Moving Companies Take to Protect Items in Storage?

Storage protection measures generally involve a climate-stable environment, organized inventory systems, and secured warehouse access. Reliable companies also write down details about each item when it arrives, often taking pictures and notes to show how it looks. This way, designers know their furniture, artwork, and decorations will stay perfect until delivery. According to the Design Files, “You’ll need storage that can accommodate various items, from huge sectional couches to fragile artwork. Be sure to ask about:

  • Climate-controlled [or climate-stable] units
  • Vertical storage and floor space
  • Fire protection
  • Pest control
  • Overall cleanliness”

A&E Relocation Services offers full storage services for interior design projects in Olympia. Every item we get is:

  • checked
  • catalouged
  • stored in a safe place that protects against dust and water damage.

We keep a detailed list of everything, so designers can easily ask for deliveries or check on stored items. Our system gives designers and their clients peace of mind. “Proper storage organization is essential for tracking multiple pieces from different vendors,” notes Kira McIntyre, A&E’s Office Manager. “We also photograph each item when it arrives so there’s documentation of its condition throughout storage.”

How Do Olympia Moving Companies Handle Damaged Items?

When damage occurs, reputable moving companies act quickly to document the issue and communicate with the designer or client. The process usually involves photographing the item, filling out a damage report, and helping guide the client through claims or repair options. “No designer wants to explain to a client why their dining table worth $8,000 arrived with a chipped leg,” states the Design Files. “Choose a warehouse with a clear and proactive claims process, including:

  • Immediate inspection upon delivery
  • Photo documentation of damages
  • Prompt communication with vendors
  • Assistance with return or repair logistics”

Clear policies and responsive communication are essential for resolving these situations smoothly.

At A&E Relocation Services, we notify you immediately if we find anything broken during inspection upon receiving.. We document everything and work with you to fix the problem fast, keeping your project on track. “When damage occurs, quick documentation is essential for insurance claims or vendor returns,” states Kira McIntyre, A&E’s Office Manager. “We immediately photograph any issues and contact the designer so they can decide whether to proceed with delivery or arrange for repairs.”
